WOW! I apologize for the absence of uploads and updates these past months!
I recently got a new part-time position as a social media promoter for an American manga publisher, and have also been doing more Japanese-English translating work than before both for the Huffington Post and for GEN Manga.
I'll leave links below to the articles and books I've been working on!
I still have a variety of art projects going on (including a prospective large mural), but have not had time as of late to get much uploaded onto any of my sites. Unfortunately, due to the time consuming nature of my other work at the moment, Farewell Feeling is on a hiatus.
I hope you will continue to watch and follow me here and on my Tumblr website as I am trying to return to having more of an online presence again. I may even revive my Twitter soon! It's a new year; anything is possible!
As promised, here are the links to the Huffington articles I translated:
1) Japan in the aftermath of the tsunami: www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/12…
2) Unusual recipes for using extra mochi: www.huffingtonpost.com/recipe-…
3) The giant old man in Japan's sky: www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/12…
4) Cat learns to use a toilet: www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/11…
And these are the GEN Manga books I have been working on:
1) Anomal: genmanga.com/books/anomal/inde…
2) Kamen 02: genmanga.com/books/kamen_v2/in…
3) Stones of Power: genmanga.com/books/stonesofpow…
Some of my work for GEN Manga (such as their online-only Eden series) has not yet been put into print form but can be read on genmanga.com.
The usual links for commission information and classes are still below; and I am still available for both if you or someone you know is interested!
Thank you for your patience, and I hope you are all having a fabulous 2015 so far.
(Also: I am going to try and go through my backed up dA messages soon, but if you wrote to me and never heard back please feel free to poke me again or (more direct and sure to get a reply) email me at lilyhanamail@gmail.com! )

I am back
Hello, DeviantArt!!
Many things have happened and it's been a long road, but at last I am able to fully return to the world of drawing things (!)
I see that my last journal entry on here was from 2015, and I know that my activity on dA had started to flag before that.
If you are still watching me after all this time...I thank you, truly! And I apologize for my inactivity, especially over the last three years.
To make a long story short:
-From 2014-2016, I was one of the primary caregivers for one of my grandmothers.
-This, combined with completing my last few undergraduate courses, consumed a large percentage of my available time.
-Af

Sorry I've been so inactive on dA lately. I hope to fix that soon. For now, though, the Otakon entry!
I had a wonderful time and look forward to going back next year.
I wanted to give a big shout-out Thank You So Much! to all who attended myJapanese Language and Culture workshop on Saturday evening. You guys were some of the best audience I've had! It's always fun when people ask a lot of questions — it keeps the discussion varied and it lets me know
